Antique Japan Buddhist chanting drum Taiko craft 1900 temple instrument

Antique Japanese Buddhist Taiko drum made from single Kayaki wood tree stump, skins are in good conditions, good sound for temple use (distant thunder sound). Used until recently, nice patina and surface. Solid wood, nice iron metal fittings. Complete of wood hitter. Temple instrument, immediately usable.

Period: 1900 - 1930

Dimensions: Diam  47 H 17 cm, total weight 2.960 Kg + wrapping
